Playful Connections Speech Therapy does not accept insurance. We are private pay and accept personal or bank check made out to Playful Connections Speech Therapy and credit card payments via our portal website Jane.

What areas do you serve?

Currently we serve Berkeley, Albany, Oakland, Orinda, El Cerrito, Kensington and Richmond. If you don’t see your city listed please reach out and we may be able to accommodate you.

What does child-led mean?

Child-led means giving your child more autonomy by following your child’s interests, choices and pacing . Child-led activities are intrinsically motivating and meaningful to the child. The idea is that when kids are engaged and having fun, they are more open to connecting and learning.

What is AAC?

AAC or augmentative and alternative communication is a tool to support total communication. AAC can be low-tech such as printed pictures, mid-tech such as a device which you push a button and a message is spoken or high-tech such as an iPad with a robust language software or app installed on it. AAC can be combined with spoken language and is customized for the client’s intentions and needs.
